Avianca has dropped the price of their flights from Toronto to El Salvador, Peru, Ecuador, Colombia, and Chile down to between $289 and $385 CAD roundtrip including taxes.
Actually, that's not quite true. Avianca has a fare class known as 'XS' that doesn't include any carry-on luggage and allows their prices to appear significantly cheaper than they really are in major search engines.
You need to add around $140 CAD roundtrip to their prices for a more realistic comparison against other airlines.
So really, Avianca's flights to Peru, Ecuador, Colombia, and Chile have dropped down to between $429 and $525 CAD roundtrip.
Avianca's flights from Toronto to Bogota, Colombia and San Salvador, El Salvador are nonstop flights.
Arajet has had better prices to Colombia lately, but this is one of the better prices to Ecuador in a while.
Delta, Air Canada, and LATAM are also showing flights from Toronto to Colombia and Ecuador in the mid $400s roundtrip (carry-on already included).
UPDATE - Toronto to Lima, Peru is cheap again. In some cases dates over Christmas are available, such as Dec 21-29 or Dec 21 to Jan 1, 3 or Dec 22, 23, 24 to Jan 3, 4, 5, 6, 7, 8, 9. Try searching on the Avianca website directly, but keep in mind that prices will be in $USD.

2. Click through to the Avianca website. The price will be in $USD. You need to scroll way down to the bottom to select the 'XS Fare' level. And then ignore the usual attempts to sell you a bundle. And then add your luggage separately in the following steps.
