Toronto to Glasgow, Scotland - $383 CAD roundtrip | but probably not worth it
14
April
Flights from Toronto to Glasgow, Scotland are available in October 2019 for $383 CAD roundtrip including taxes, using a combination of Westjet and LoganAir.
However, there are a few factors that make me less than excited about these flights.
1) They are only bookable through one specific booking site, in British Pounds. This can sometimes be a warning sign that the deal isn't really bookable at all.
2) The flights involve a half day, overnight layover in London (from 7:30 PM to about 1 PM the next day), during which time you need to transfer from London Southend Airport (SEN) to London Gatwick (LGW). And they are 100km apart!

How to find and book this deal
1. Go to the Skyscanner UK website (currency is GBP)
2. Search for a flight from Toronto (YYZ) to Glasgow, Scotland (GLA)
Try one of the following date combinations:
Oct 1 to Oct 8
Oct 8 to Oct 15
Oct 22 to Oct 29
The flight you're looking for is 218 GBP roundtrip, which works out to $383 CAD roundtrip when booked with a Canadian credit card, including the typical 2.5% foreign exchange fee.
If you use a credit card that does not charge foreign exchange fees, it will be even cheaper.
The flight should have layovers that look like this:

Note that this flight option may not be at the top of the Skyscanner UK search results. It might be 3 or 4 flights down.
There are other flight options out there in this price range. I can't imagine the vast majority of them being attractive to anyone. Many of them involve airport changes both on the way there, and on the way home.
Other flight options involve 2 stops on the way to Glasgow.
The dates listed above are the only dates I've seen that have a flight option that *might* be attractive enough for someone to use.
This is an option with a pretty decent flight on the way there (1 stop in Halifax for 90 minutes). And on the way home, you have about 17 hours to check out London and make your way between the two London airports.
You can find many other flights in this price range on a lot of other dates in September and October (starting from about mid-September onwards). But like I said, the dates above are the only dates I've seen with a 'not completely terrible' flight option, assuming you might want to check out London for an evening.
