WOW Air has dropped some of their May, June, and September 2016 flights from Toronto to Reykjavik, Iceland down to $338 CAD roundtrip including taxes.
Although with WOW Air, one should probably think of it as $458 CAD roundtrip with 1 checked bag, as WOW Air does not include any luggage in their prices. And $578 CAD to make a fair comparison against their only competitor, Icelandair (who includes 2 checked bags).
Don't be fooled by WOW Air's strategy of luring people in with prices that can look more amazing than they really are. It can still be an amazing deal for someone that travels light, but with more luggage, the price can escalate quickly.
With 1 piece of luggage it's still a very good price for the second-best months to travel to Iceland (with July/August arguably being the most ideal). With 2 pieces of luggage it starts to become just an 'ok' price.
How to find and book this deal
1. Go to WOW Air's website
2. Search for a flight from Toronto to Reykjavik, Iceland
3. Use one of the following date combinations:
May 15 or 16 to May 27
May 15 or 16 to May 21, 28, or June 4 or 11 -- $299 CAD (new!)
May 18 to May 27 -- sold out
May 21 to May 28
May 21 to June 4
May 28 to June 4 or 11 - $299 CAD (but may only be 1 seat left)
May 30 to June 8, 10, or 17 -- $358 CAD
June 4 to June 11
June 6 to 10, 17, or 22 -- $358 CAD
June 26 to June 29 (come on WOW Air, release a longer trip length in June!)
Sep 3 to Sep 9, 10, or 17
Sep 10 to Sep 17 or 24
For longer trips, you can try mixing and matching the departure and return dates from the list above.
