American Airlines has dropped the price of their flights from Toronto to Rio de Janeiro, Brazil down to between $527 and $675 CAD roundtrip including taxes.
The flights have 2 stops each way, in Miami or New York, and Sao Paulo.
Starting on October 1st Canadians will once again require a tourist visa to visit Brazil (it has not been necessary since June of 2019).
UPDATE April 28 @ 12 PM EST - It looks like this could be over. Prices are jumping up after date selection on Google Flights and no longer available on the American Airlines website.

1. Start with the following Google Flights search:
Google Flights: Toronto to Rio de Janeiro, Brazil
- Click on the departure date box to open up the calendar view and browse for cheap date combinations.
- Adjust the trip length at the bottom.
- Look for the dates that are $527 to $675 roundtrip.
2. Go to Kayak or Skyscanner
- Try the same dates you found on Google Flights.
